FLOWING FORM

For my graduate thesis, I focused my study on modular ornamentation - capturing things in motion and framing them in a way that could be readapted into other forms of design. I used water and ink as my first mediums for experimentation because of how they naturally formed structures reminiscent of "ornaments" in their more traditional definition. From gathering footage and pictures, I applied them onto simple shapes, patterns, and typography.

Letting the materials naturally flow and interact, can make for unique visuals. I tried a combination of reflections, photo manipulations, and compositions to come up with these different structures. They also work well as an ornament to typography.
